Stair Pressure Tester

Project type

Inventions, Equipment

This is a piece of test equipment to test the differential pressure between a stairwell and a floor without the use of a manometer. While a manometer is very accurate, it can be inconvenient while testing due to the fact that a tube is required to go under a door. This can be difficult if there is a small gap under the door. This tester uses an altimeter to take a measurement in the stairs and another on the floor. The altitude readings are then automatically compared and converted to inches of water for the report. The housing is 3d printed and it runs off a rechargeable 6 volt Tenergy battery.
