Beskar Ingot Prop

This is a steel ingot made to resemble Beskar, the fictional metal from the Disney+ show "The Mandalorian". It was made from 3/16 steel bar. The steel bar was welded together making a thinker and wider ingot. It was then polished and smoothed so it could be etched using electricity. Electrical tape was added as a mask and the ingot was dipped in an electrolyte for etching. After etching, blueing dye was added in the etch to give it a darker color. Then it was coated with a thin layer of polyurethane to prevent rusting.
